Dear family, (…)
I’ve arrived in Brazil, just like that. I’ve left behind all those years at school in Monforte, those rainy days, and the luscious green of our homeland.
You should see me now, with my new linen dress and an exotic bloom in my lapel. I don’t know what kind of flower it is, but it has such an intense colour you can’t help but look at it.
Now I’m more settled I’ll let you know how I’m getting on. I’ll probably come over and see you next summer – everything depends on how well things go here.
I’ve included a photo of me sat next to a palm tree, which they say is the oldest one in the world. I’m not sure what to think.
